You open your eyes and realize you are laying in a comfortable bed. Mother Nature is there encouraging you to drink some kind of strong-smelling broth.
"What happened?" you try to say, but your voice doesn't make much sound.
"When you defeated Father Time," Mother Nature replies, "It triggered some sort of tesseract spell that gave him super powers over all time and space. I can't imagine he is fully evil however, as he chose not to kill you. Instead, he tossed you into a worm hole of sorts, and you landed back here."
"So I guess we failed?" you sigh.
"Not exactly. The tesseract spell left various rips in the fabric of time, and I was able to use them to retrieve a few important items. If you two are up to it, we can use these objects and take one last stab at saving Christmas."
