What went wrong with Father Time
As you know, Father Time has been around for a very long... well... time. Being immortal can have strange effects on a being, and it seems to be taking it's toll at the moment. Though he has been known to be cruel at times, he has never been irrational. That doesn't seem to be the case now. He is tampering with the sacred hourglass of destiny, and it is already beginning to have strange effects. Santa's elves first noticed the disturbance when toys they had been working on for days would revert back to their early stages, they would wake up to find their beards had grown in excess of 50 feet long overnight, and sometimes when trying to speak, their words would only come out backwards.
I heard the gossip, and immediately started investigating. When I figured out what must be going on, I tryed to contact Father Time. He just cackled at me, waving the hourglass of destiny in the air and dancing around in circles. It seems he has cast some sort of spell inside the hourglass, that has given the sand itself life.

I cannot be sure what effects this will have ultimately, but it would not be inconceivable that certain events in history and places on earth could be erased entirely. You must journey to cave of the Yeti to retrieve new magical sand and then use it to replace the sand in the hourglass. If you fail, all may be lost.
The "candies" I left you in the secret hiding place actually contain nanobots that will guide you to the cave of the Yeti, but they will remain dormant until they are in the host for at least 12 hours. I know you are anxious to start your journey, but alas, you will have to wait one more day.
